The Subconscious Mind Does Not Know

The subconscious mind does not know the difference between the truth and a lie. It believes whatever we tell it and runs with it.

The subconscious mind absorbs and acts on repeated thoughts, beliefs and affirmations regardless of their truth. Positive affirmations, visualization and positive self-talk are powerful tools for shaping our behaviors and our mindset. The subconscious mind operates based on the information it receives. This influences our emotions, behaviors and decisions.

While the subconscious mind is influenced by what we feel what we think and what we do, critical thinking, experience and exposure play an important part in shaping our beliefs.

As Brene Brown once asked, and I paraphrase here, “what is the story that you are telling yourself?” What indeed?

What is the story that I am telling myself? What is the story that you are

telling yourself? Is it logical? Is it reality?

Does it make sense? Where did I get this idea?

Guard your mind. We get to choose.
