Be Honest with Yourself: Look in the Mirror

The siege at the Capitol yesterday, January 6, 2021, did not demonstrate “everyday crazy.” What we witnessed was a high level of mob insanity . People died.

In a sane nation, today would be a day of self- reflection. A day for introspection. A day for looking in the mirror.

We are responsible for our own thoughts and our own actions.

How do you feel today? Do you feel ashamed, proud, victorious, afraid or sad? Or perhaps you feel neutral, exhausted, angry, or successful.

Own your true self. Be honest with yourself. Being disingenuous is too exhausting both emotionally and physically. Understand why you feel the way you feel about what happened in Washington DC on January 6, 2021.

We all have to live with ourselves. We have to live with our thoughts, feelings and actions. We can only control ourselves. Once we are honest with ourselves about who we are, we must be accountable and responsible for what we think feel and do. The next step is to ascertain what impact your thoughts feelings and actions have on others and if you really care.

Who are you and why are you who you are?

You need to know.
